Community Counseling
Community Counseling & Mediation, also known as CCM, is a social service organization that provides a range of counseling, mental health, education and housing support services for at-risk children, youths and families. Founded in 1982, it offers substance abuse outpatient treatment, academic assistance, immigrant cultural adjustment; anger management, and teenage pregnancy and AIDS prevention services. The organization administers various rehabilitation, case management, therapeutic foster care and adoption programs. Community Counseling & Mediation conducts the Alcohol and Substance Abuse Program, which includes diagnosis, treatment, acupuncture, and individual, group and family counseling services. The organization provides several education and empowerment workshops led by women who have AIDS. Community Counseling & Mediation is located in Brooklyn, N.Y.
